Chris Wilborn was appointed as the inaugural Chair of the GSL Board of Directors in July 2020.
With a diverse background in leadership and service to the corporate, nonprofit and government sectors, Chris is presently the founder and Principal Consultant of raefConsulting, a fast growing management consultancy headquartered in Sydney.
Prior to launching raef, Chris was CEO with United Way--the largest privately funded NGO in the world with 2000 independently operated affiliates in 46 countries, generating $5.2B annually.
Chris has held several governance and board roles through his time as Professional Council Chair and Executive Committee Member for a statewide Board of Directors. He also served as Vice-Chair and subsequently as Chair of the Health and Human Services Council for a local Chamber of Commerce.
Chris’ career path also encompasses several notable leadership roles including Team Leader with AmeriCorps *National Civilian Community Corps, Intensive Case Manager with the Parent-Child Center, Inc. and Management Intern through the University of Colorado at Denver’s Best & Brightest Program. While serving as Team Leader, Chris led a disaster response allied with the Red Cross in New York City following the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Communications from Palm Beach Atlantic University and a Master of Art in Political Science with an emphasis in Public Policy from the University of Colorado at Denver.
